Dr. Rhys Williams

President, Polo Training Center Santa Barbara

Dr. Rhys Williams is currently an executive director in Global Health Economics (GHE) at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, California, where he has worked for twelve years.  Previously, Rhys was a senior director/team leader for the cardiovascular therapeutic area in US Outcomes Research at Pfizer. Prior to that he worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb where he was the Head of the European Outcomes Research and Epidemiology department.  Rhys is a native of the UK and received his BS (honors) degree in Statistics from the University of Wales. He has Masters Degrees in Mathematics and Applied Statistics from Tulane University and a Doctoral degree in Epidemiology from Boston University.

Rhys has been a member of the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club (SBPRC) for over ten years, where he was the men's tennis captain for many years.  He has also been a SBPRC board member for five years and recently assumed the role of President, Polo Training Center, Santa Barbara.  Although, Rhys is not a polo player, he has travelled all over the US with his 17 year old daughter, Cory Williams and watched her play NYTS tournaments in Myopia, Southampton, Eldorado, Piocho as well as the Interscholastic Nationals in Charlottesville.  In addition, Rhys and Cory have visited many countries (Argentina, England, Scotland, Dubai and Poland) where Cory has played in various tournaments.

Charles G. Stanislawski

Chuck Stanislawski has been providing expertise in tax, accounting and consulting to Stanislawski & Company’s clients for over 30 years. He specializes in many types of businesses including real estate, manufacturing, and retail businesses. He also has extensive expertise in individual income taxation, estates and trusts, probate accounting, private foundations and non-profit organizations. Chuck Stanislawski launched his career at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, now Deloitte, in Los Angeles in 1979. There he specialized in financial audits and accounting and tax services for medium to large businesses in a wide variety of industries. In 1985, he purchased Stanislawski & Company from his father who founded the firm over 50 years ago. 

Chuck is the proud father of three daughters.  Besides his family, his next greatest passion is polo where he competes at four local polo clubs and has played internationally.

Dr. Janet Ludwig

Janet Ludwig, Ph.D. is education director for Hawthorn University, a clinical nutrition graduate program. She is a member of the board of directors for the National Association of Nutrition Professionals and participates as an author and speaker in these areas.  Janet earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry and nutrition with an expertise in the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the inflammatory process. 

Janet has been involved in polo at the Eldorado Polo Club since the 1980’s. Her role in the Eldorado Junior Polo program over these years has helped produce professionals, sponsors and players that enjoy the sport of polo today. Her own children, Kirsten, who played at the University of Virginia and is an instructor at the California Polo Club, and Dawson on the Eldorado Polo Team, who won the 2000 National Interscholastics, also play polo today.  Janet ,as Chairman of the Junior Polo Committee for the U.S.P.A. in the 1990’s and through their association with the Federation of International Polo (F.I.P.)  hosted international tournaments for young players to play polo nationally and internationally. This program was similar to the current National Youth Tournament Series sponsored by the U.S.P.A. She plans to continue these efforts to promote young polo players through the Polo Training Center at Santa Barbara.
